Vastfontein Community Transformation started in June 1998 as a small concern managed by individuals, but has since grown into a Section 21 company managed by a Board of Directors.
Vastfontein is also registered as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO), a Non-profit Organization (NPO) and falls under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act.
Their actions are guided by the values of business integrity, financial accountability, reliable service delivery, commitment to social upliftment and community transformation.
They are also committed to and operate under the legal requirements of the South African law and they ascribe to and operate under the authority of the Holy Bible.

Situated about 40 km North of Pretoria, they operate in the areas of Vastfontein Smallholdings, Hammanskraal, Shoshanguve, Maubane RDP, Carousel View and Ramotsi Township areas.
The school started in 1998 with a sunday school in the barn where Johan saw the need to educate the children of the area, most whom has been orphaned and started the first Créche for 3 and 4 year old kids.
With donations received they were able to build the first classroom for Grade 1 in 2007.
Since then they added more classrooms, two care centres that houses six children under the supervision of a housemother per house, an abulition block, a clinic, a soccer field as well as the School of Church Planting.
All the chidren receives two meals a day.
A third care centre and Grade 6 classroom is scheduled for 2011.
Future plans are to acquire adjacent property to establish a high school, technical training centre as well as giving training to upcoming farmers.
