ADE Engine Centre for quality service

6 March 2011 No Comment

“My success is based on quality, experience, hard work and raw determination,” says Gideon Joubert.

His business, ADE Engine Centre recently moved to the Dirk Smit Industrial Park in Hennopspark, Centurion after selling his previous premises that had become too small for his expanding automotive engineering works.

Energy surges at meeting this actively vibrant man, who spends a few words on describing history.

Gideon started an apprenticeship in 1954 and he completed it one year short of the then required five year term.

His 11 years as workshop manager at J.R. Mac Kays Engineering in the 60’s afforded him an opportunity to become a friend of and was personally responsible for Dave Charlton’s Repco Brabham and later on, Chev Lola engines during Dave’s seven consecutive years reign in F1 racing.

Gideon established ADE (Atlas Diesel Engineering) in the early 70’s, when the government enforced truck manufacturers to install only the Atlantis Diesel Engines from the Western Cape.

The incidental name similarity developed into landing major contracts nationally, dealing on an engine remanufacturing exchange plan.

The highlight of Gideon’s business career came in 2007 when he become the CMA (Corporate Maintenance Administrators) sole appointed “National Remanufacturing Agent” for Jaguar, also managed on a remanufacturing exchange plan of all models in this make.

Despite this, he is also geared to take on work for private, small and large sectors.

For further information contact Gideon on telephone number 012 653 5650 / 77.
