New Cancer Support Group in Centurion

1 June 2016 No Comment

Cancer Buddies is the support services project of the organisation People Living with Cancer.
Survivor driven, the project offers free support services to all newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families including a free 24 hour helpline, support groups and online web support.
The Cancer Buddies are all cancer survivors who are trained to assist patients that are facing diagnosis, treatment, emotional issues and understand a life of living with and going on beyond the treatment of cancer.
Cancer Buddies created a network of support groups throughout the country where patients can meet on a monthly basis, with different topics being presented by invited guests speakers, doctors and survivors.
The Cancer Buddies support group has recently kicked off at the Unitas Netcare Hospital in Centurion and will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
For more information contact them at 012 6778271 or visit their webpage at www.cancerbuddies.org.za.
