First day at school filled with excitement

Great excitement was noticeable when the Grade 1’s at the Deutsche Schule Pretoria were introduced to their new class teachers.
Thereafter they received surprise “Zuckertüten“ (cones)- a German tradition for all first year learners – containing colouring pencils, a rubber, booklets, some sweets and other surprises.
Another tradition at the DSP is the “Ententanz” (chicken dance), a welcoming dance where learners from Grade 4 invite a newcomer to join him or her.
The kids then went into their classrooms and only saw their parents at 12h30 again.
It is not always clear who is …

Celebrating the month of love…

Every year, the fourteenth day of the month of February millions across the world present their loved ones with candy, flowers, chocolates and other lovely gifts,

DRIVING DOWN MEMORY LANE

*****Congratulations!!!!!***** “The Centurion” is five years old, or young, depending on your personal convictions. Well done Dorothy!
