Fundraising for Rochelle

Local resident, Rochelle Lombard (25) had in been diagnosed with the lupus nitrites disease.
She is not able to work anymore and has to visit the hospital 3 times a week for 4 hours at a time, to get dialyzed for a failed kidney.
Medical treatment costing R85,0000 can help Rochelle and will keep the disease under control and at further cost she could receive a kidney transplant.
Eldo Falls Garden Centre and Restaurant will host a number of events throughout the year to raise enough money to help Rochelle get this treatment.

Centurion Business Care Award winner for April 2011

The Business Care Award winner for the month of April 2011 is Rochelle McBride.
She has been employed for the last two years at the switchboard of the Lazarus Motor Company in West Street, Centurion. She has about 13 years of switchboard experience.
The switchboard at Lazarus Motor Company receives approximately 1400 calls per day that is answered by Rochelle and two other capable ladies.
Rochelle was nominated for the continuous professional service she renders as the first point of contact the public has with the company.

Centurion Sakekamer het ook pret

Die Centurion Sakekamer het op 19 April 2011 ‘n netwerkfunksie by Swan Lake Konferensiesentrum, met ‘n verskil gehad.
Die formaat was informeel en na elkeen van die teenwoordigers hul besigheid kortliks kon bekend stel en ‘n spanbou sessie het plaasgevind.
Daar was vier groepe wat in verskillende aktiwiteite deur Kobus Loubser en sy span van Outdoor Galore gelei was.
Daarna het hulle aan ‘n Foos Ball aktiwiteit, deur The Pink Potato firma aangebied, deelgeneem.
Almal was dit eens dat hierdie manier van netwerk baie pret was en dat dit ‘n jaarlikse instelling moet word.

New Junior National Race the First for Gauteng

The Creodata Junior National, the third round of the 2011 SA Junior National Off-road Championship for young motorcycle and quad competitors between the ages of seven and 17 years that will take place on 7 May at Rhino Park outside Pretoria, will be the first national off-road race of its kind in Gauteng.
The event replaces the Junior Roof that would have been held in Lesotho and the local Gauteng Off-road Club (GOC), came to the rescue to organise this event.

Coaching Clinic at Die Poort Laerskool

Elize Kotze, head coach of the SPAR Proteas netball team, conducted a coaching clinic at Die Poort Laerskool in Kameelsdrift Oos on 14 April 2011.
The clinic was aimed at coaching and providing netball up and comings with tips and tricks of how to best play the beautiful game.

As part of its overall efforts to help create a sustainable future for the game industry in South Africa, the Stud Game Breeders group established two programmes aimed at promoting and encouraging skills development in the industry.
Both programmes were strongly endorsed and accredited by Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA) and were announced on Friday, 25 March 2011 at the WRSA Gala Dinner held in Pretoria.
The first programme is an empowerment scholarship which Stud Game Breeders will fund annually to the value of R70 000.

DA helps cleaning-up Intersection

The residents of lower Alethea Street, Lyttelton have long complained about an overgrown area bordering on the Jean Avenue and N14 intersection.
This intersection has also been a smash-and-grab point for vehicles stopping at this intersection and has also been an escape route for criminals and a location for dumped material.

ʼn Anonieme weldoener van Swartruggens het 3,5 ton braaimeel uit sy eie sak geskenk.
Die man sê hy en sy vrou het oor die saak gebid en toe een oggend geweet hulle moet by Helpende Hand uithelp.
